The EMS-D120 Pages and configurable screen views offer a very powerful combination that easily accommodate a wide range of engines and user preferences. This wide degree of flexibility and ease in which they may be configured offer an advantage over other fixed indication type systems.

In designing this system, Dynon recognized that pilots have highly varying opinions on how gauges are arranged and displayed; hence the innumerable panel configurations seen in airplanes today. While Dynon's design does not allow any measurement in any form anywhere on the screen, it does build upon a proven and successful platform arrangement with enough flexibility to accommodate a high degree of customization that will satisfy most pilots requirements.

The default screen displayed upon first powering up the instrument is as depicted below. This screen configuration provides installers a highly preconfigured starting point which can then easily be modified.

The default screen is a split screen format with the left 2/3's filled with the EMS System Overview Page and the right 1/3 displaying the EMS Aux Page.

System Overview Page (2/3)

This page provides up to 10 basic measurement functions as depicted in the picture above. Any one of these functions may be turned off if it's not going to be implemented or utilized.

The EGT/CHT presentation within this page will accommodate 2, 4 or 6 cylinders depending upon which mode is displayed. Two modes are available; the Split Mode with the EGT channels separated and positioned above the CHT's, and the Combined Mode where the CHT's are indicated as tick marks directly on top of the EGT bars. The Split Mode format will only accommodate up to 4 cylinders due to space constraints. An advantage of the Split Mode format is the additional reference bar above its associated measurement type allowing pilots to clearly see how near the alarm limit each channel is running.

Fuel indications for fuel flow, fuel pressure and two fuel levels are all grouped together. Any measurement not required may be deactivated. If two fuel tank levels are not necessary the system can easily be reconfigured to only indicate a single tank with the left arc presented on the screen and absent of either the L or R designator beneath. Systems requiring more than two tanks can also be accommodated via the Info Bar located either on this page or the accompanying Aux Page.

System Overview Page (1/3)

This 1/3 split-screen sized page distills the basic EMS functions onto a smaller format. This page is commonly used whenever displaying the Checklist or Aviation Data pages or data from another instrument like the EFIS on the accompanying 2/3 page. This page is basically the same as its larger 2/3 panel sized brother noted above with only a few exceptions. They are: 1) The EGT/CHT is only displayed in the Combined format 2) There are no Info Bars indicated

Aux Page (1/3)
		This 1/3 screen size page is sectioned into 6 identical size blocks arranged in a 3 column by 2 row pattern. Each block contains what is called an Info Item which can be displayed or left blank. Info Items can be configured during setup to be a variety of measurement types, some of which are displayed in these two examples.

The 2 examples immediately above plus the one at the very top of the page present some ideas of how info items might be oriented. You'll note all the examples have one or two Info Items turned off.

The Aux Page flexibility when combined with the configurable System Overview page afford a high degree of freedom to configure a default screen just right for your particular needs.

Times Page (1/3)
	This page gives the pilot all the clocks and timers in one convenient location.

Fuel Computer Page (1/3)
	This page provides a comprehensive and convenient view of the entire fuel situation. Up to 4 tanks may be displayed here simultaneously. If the system employs the optional fuel flow sensor, a fuel computer can be displayed in the center as depicted in this picture.
